She married Thomas WRIGHT. Thomas was born in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. The following excerpts and paraphrasings are from a John WILSON letter and autobiography (Anne's brother). Click here for the complete text - Thomas Wilson and Anne's husband, Thomas Wright, went to New York. Ann and her children, John B. and James L., remained at home with the understanding that they would follow in one year. In the mean time, James Wilson (Anne's father) and John Wright had made arrangements for the family to go to Illinois. Ann wrote to her husband that she would go with the family to Illinois if he would meet her there. He wrote that these arrangments were satisfactory and he would meet her in Illinois. But from some unknown cause he failed to meet her and she never heard from him afterwards. On the 16th of March 1844 the Wilson family, 17 in number, bade adieu to their native land and embarked for the far west.
