4.	Anne WILSON was born at Bush, a farm near Hightae, Dumfriesshire, Scotland 6 Feb 1811. She married Thomas WRIGHT. Thomas was born in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. The following excerpts and paraphrasings are from a John WILSON letter and autobiography (Anne's brother). Click here for the complete text - Thomas Wilson and Anne's husband, Thomas Wright, went to New York. Ann and her children, John B. and James L., remained at home with the understanding that they would follow in one year. In the mean time, James Wilson (Anne's father) and John Wright had made arrangements for the family to go to Illinois. Ann wrote to her husband that she would go with the family to Illinois if he would meet her there. He wrote that these arrangments were satisfactory and he would meet her in Illinois. But from some unknown cause he failed to meet her and she never heard from him afterwards. On the 16th of March 1844 the Wilson family, 17 in number, bade adieu to their native land and embarked for the far west. Anne WILSON and Thomas WRIGHT had the following children all born in Lochmaben Parish, Dumfriesshire, Scotland:
12.	i.	John B. WRIGHT was born 25 Sep 1837 John died 16 Nov 1928 in Springfield Hospital, Springfield, Sangamon Co, IL. His body was interred in Oak Hill Cemetery, Decatur Road, Springfield, IL. He married Janet JOHNSTON in Sangamon Co, IL, 23 Feb 1865. Janet was born in Scotland 22 Jun 1840. Jane died 3 May 1887. Her body was interred in Oak Hill Cemetery, Decatur Road, Springfield, IL. John's occupation: Farmer. John immigrated, 1845. In the 1880 census, he was listed as a resident of Williams Twp, Sangamon Co, IL. John B. and Janet had three children.
13.	ii.	James L. WRIGHT was born 8 Nov 1840. He married Iva BURNS 25 Oct 1871. Iva was born in Illinois 1851, the daughter of John BURNS. James' occupation: Farmer. In the 1880 census, he was listed as a resident of Buffalo Hart Twp, Sangamon Co, IL. James and Iva had two children.
